I'm sure everybody saw this coming. Along with a broken hand, broken ribs, internal bleeding, and an eye injury, Muntader al-Zaidi may be facing two years in prison for insulting their leader. At least they don't have that one on the books over here yet.

"If the Venezuelan government, for example, approves a law to protect consumers, they say, ‘Take notice, Chavez is a tyrant!’" said [Venezuelan president Hugo] Chavez, speaking in one of his recent weekly television shows.
Or they say, ‘Chavez is regulating prices. He is violating the laws of the marketplace.’ How many times have they criticised me for nationalising the phone company? They say, ‘The state shouldn’t get involved in that.’ But now they don’t criticize Bush for having to nationalise (the biggest banks in the world.) Comrade Bush, how are you?"
Nicaragua Congressman Edwin Castro agreed: "We think the Bush administration should follow the same policies that they and the International Monetary Fund have always told us to follow when we have economic problems - a structural adjustment that requires cutting government spending and reducing the role of government."

This video documents George Bush Sr’s involvement in the CIA during Kennedy’s era and his likely involvement with the group that killed Kennedy. Covers evidence declassified after the controversial Oliver Stone film. Though this may not come as a surprise to many of us, if you're not used to covering these kinds of topics, this film will blow you away with its documentation!
This is only the tip of the iceberg in documentation, too. This is one of those movies that should having you running to the National Archives (if you're near it) or the Internet (if you're not) to verify claims and learn more.

Say what you want about this guy, he's got cojones. For me, this 5 hour diatribe was a long, sad walk back over the last 8 years of this failing republic.

The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. … We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. … In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons … who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.
