2008 election

Obama broke the bank

Noble — Fri, 12/05/2008 - 12:32

With figures of trillions being thrown around almost daily in the news, this number doesn't seem as big as it would have if we weren't in the midst of financial armageddon.

Obama's final fundraising total for his presidential campaign came to $750 million dollars. For perspective, the combined campaign funds of George W. Bush and John Kerry weighed in at about $650 million in the 2004 election.

Obama did not make this unprecedented amount by $5 and $10 dollar donations from Joe Six-Pack. It had a lot more to do with mega-billionaires like Warren Buffet and Penny Pritzker hosting $28,000 a plate dinners for his campaign.

I have tried to cut back on the political issues on my site; sometimes in the heat of an election spin cycle, I forget momentarily that politics is little more than public theater. To be honest, I'm so sick of the names John McCain, Barack Obama, and Sarah Palin that I could puke.

The Real Crisis is Coming

Noble — Tue, 10/21/2008 - 07:02

Powell: "I would start with talking to the American people and talking to the world and conveying a new image of American leadership, a new image of America's role in the world. The problems will always be there and there's going to be a crisis come along on the 21st or the 22nd of January that we don't even know about right now. So I think what the president has to do is start using the power of the oval office and the power of his personality to convince the American people and convince the world that America is solid."

Powell's statements mirror very similar statements by Joe Biden, that a generated crisis is coming, that the government response will be incredibly unpopular, and that Obama supporters will need to use all their influence to make sure it goes smoothly.

"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."

"I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate," Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. "And he's gonna need help. And the kind of help he's gonna need is, he's gonna need you - not financially to help him - we're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right."

...

"I've forgotten more about foreign policy than most of my colleagues know, so I'm not being falsely humble with you. I think I can be value added, but this guy has it," the Senate Foreign Relations chairman said of Obama. "This guy has it. But he's gonna need your help. Because I promise you, you all are gonna be sitting here a year from now going, 'Oh my God, why are they there in the polls? Why is the polling so down? Why is this thing so tough?' We're gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I'm asking you now, I'm asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you're going to have to reinforce us."

"There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, 'Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don't know about that decision'," Biden continued. "Because if you think the decision is sound when they're made, which I believe you will when they're made, they're not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they're popular, they're probably not sound."

What is this crisis? How is it that the people affected are not being warned? How is it they already know when it's going to happen? How is it that they already know how the government is going to react to this crisis? How do they already know how unpopular the response is going to be? How is it that our officials can just come out and tell us stuff like this, and not elaborate on the threat?

NORTHCOM came home for active duty at the beginning of this month. Many have feared a coup is imminent. What if it's a perfectly orderly, legal, authorized preparation for what's coming?

Biden says he could come up with 4-5 scenarios.. I think he can do better than that. If anybody in Congress knows what's coming down the pike, it's him. He's been Biden his time for decades, to have his day at the helm.

Messianic Transformers

Noble — Fri, 10/17/2008 - 05:42

This is not a political discourse or an endorsement of either candidate. If (big IF) I vote for anybody, it will be Cynthia McKinney, because I think she has integrity. I'm chiefly interested in language and invoked symbols in this post. McCain is powerless but Sarah Palin is not. As far as I'm concerned, this race is between Obama and Palin.

Thanks to UV Garden again for this first clip. Here is a pretty disgusting video of some Sarah Palin supporters.. and Sarah being blessed by people standing around her speaking in tongues. This video is just disgusting, especially the person who is screaming about the MURDERERS who take birth control pills.

[embed file="video/Palin_LandofQueenEsther.flv

Here is a video of Louis Farakhan preaching to his people to consider Obama as an ambassador from God. Hard times and struggling people need a hero to worship, and Obama is being offered up for that role. He is trying to make Obama sound like something more than human, like he comes from a special womb, or a magical place.

A lot of people on the web freaked out claiming Farakhan called Obama the Messiah, but if you listen he didn't really do that. He called Obama the Herald of the Messiah, and I think he mentions how careful he has to be about what he says. In Bible terms, this would cast Obama in the role of John the Baptist. The herald of the messiah, in the case of John the Baptist, prepares the world for the messiah's coming, anoints the messiah, and is killed.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

Now this was John's testimony when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was. He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, 'I am not the Christ.' They asked him, 'Then who are you? Are you Elijah?' He said, 'I am not.' 'Are you the Prophet?' He answered, 'No.' Finally they said, 'Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?' John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, 'I am the voice of one calling in the desert,"Make straight the way for the Lord."'

Book of John

The Herald of the Messiah is also the dawn or morning star which heralds the "new sun rising."

“A light will shine down from somewhere. It will light upon you. You will experience an epiphany. And you will say to yourself, I have to vote for Barack. I have to do it."
-Barack Obama

A lot of people are riding on their candidate, on both sides, so that they can reshape America in their own image. Besides the messianic overtones, both of these clips also mention a need or desire to transform America. And we will be transformed, by hook or by crook.

I know I am not the only person who gets the chills pondering Kennedy's very liberal sentiment, "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

EDIT: I meant to include this, here's a great article (from somebody who would think I'm a loon, no doubt, but it's still a great article) on the the power of image over issues in politics.

The election is over, Brzezinski wins

Noble — Fri, 08/29/2008 - 05:38

The word is that Obama has dropped Zbigniew Brzezinski due to pressure from the Israel lobby. Israel likes (and in my opinion basically created) Neocons because they hate arabs and will happily fight Israel's wars for her, and turn a blind eye to Israel's ethnic cleansing program, which "celebrates" its 60th anniversary this year. I agree with Brzezinski (for different reasons no doubt) in that I could never support Israel. My people were ethnically cleansed, rounded up and either killed, expelled, or shipped to reservations by white racists, too.

Brzezinski (and Jimmy Carter, his previous "advisee") want peace in the Middle East. However, he wants peace there because he wants our armed forces attacking the allies and assets of Russia and China, in the 'Stans (which he outlines in The Grand Chessboard). Russia's showdown in Georgia might possibly be because they see the writing on the wall and they are retrenching.

However, I am getting off the point I wanted to make here. No matter who wins, house Brzezinski runs the show. Due to pressure from Israel, Obama has removed Zbigniew Brzezinski from his advisor team. However, Zbig's son Mike is still on the team. McCain on the other hand, is advised by Ian Brzezinski, Zbig's other son. Remember the story of the Treaty of Versailles being negotiated by the Warburg brothers?

And where have I been? This is where I really fall behind not watching TV. Zbigniew Brzezinski also HAS A DAUGHTER NAMED MIKA WHO IS A REPORTER ON MSNBC, OMFG!!

I make a big deal about advisors because they run the show. Brzezinski tapped Obama at Columbia University in the early 80s as a political asset, and guided his blessed, star-crossed legal and political career from there. Super-wealthy people and think tanks create, sponsor and groom many of our famous politicians. Much in the same way, Nixon was tapped by Prescott Bush, who basically made his career. Maurice Strong in Canada was tapped the same way by David Rockefeller.

  • Mike Brzezinski advises Obama
  • Ian Brzezinski advises McCain
  • Ian throws McCain a cool G
  • Mike and Ian Brzezinski get awards, Ian is a principal of Booz Allen Hamilton
  • James Woolsey (another pleasant guy), former head of CIA, also a principal of Booz Allen Hamilton, is on the McCain team
  • More of Woolsey and McCain cuddling

I also love that all the born again Christians are supposed to vote for the guy with Cain in his name.

In some of my comments I have been sharing my distrust of the John Birch Society. Well, wouldn't you know it, Brzezinski is Polish for From the Birches! Not that Brzezinski would ever be caught dead in public around John Birchers or vice versa.
