Pedet Finis Aborigine - Look for the end in the beginning
I’m sure everybody saw this coming. Along with a broken hand, broken ribs, internal bleeding, and an eye injury, Muntader al-Zaidi may be facing two years in prison for insulting their leader. At least they don’t have that one on the books over here yet.

I can’t make this shit up. Bernard Madoff dropped another bomb on Wall Street when he admitted his mammoth hedge fund was (like capitalism as a whole is) a giant Ponzi pyramid scam.
One thing that I find amusing about the big movers and shakers of the world is their names. In this case, his name is “Bernard Made Off,” and boy did he ever, up until now at least. Fascinating that his sons turned him in, too — a power move? I’ll be interested to see what happens to him (if anything).
Taken from a local blog:
Watch expert after expert mock, ridicule and laugh at Peter Schiff, who was absolutely right. Watch the host and other panelists gang up on him in an attempt to either shut him up, talk over him, or make him feel stupid or insane. Containing this opinion is very important, because these people have a job to do for Wall Street, and that’s to keep the numbers up.
Notice how Peter Schiff handles his critics, too. He is very good in front of the camera. Of course, he invests in things which do well when Wall Street goes down, so he has a job to do, too.
Here at Memory Hole Recovery Agency, we specialize in finding clips that mysteriously disappear from the big video sites.
Remember that post, “Catching Rain Water Illegal in Some U.S. States?” Well, the clip disappeared. That aggravates me a great deal, so I hunted it down and put it back up. I will never lose this clip again, I can assure you.
I ran through all my posts and very quickly tagged them, so that I could bring back a couple of features.
I do not enjoy tagging posts and I still plan to put a lot of work into fleshing out the tags on the existing posts. I am always open to input on this one. Tagging is useful for so many reasons but it is a pain in my ignoble ass.
Here are quotes from a very disturbing piece on the endgame of health care “rationing.” This is a great example of how bioethics is really just another branch of rhetoric/spin-doctoring. What they call here the “rational allocation of resources” is also at the heart of Agenda 21, bio-regions, and so-called “Smart Growth.”
I am also sadly reminded that, during the Holocaust, prisoner doctors were spared execution to make these sorts of “godlike” determinations on which prisoners were fit to work another day and which were fit only to be killed and disposed of.
If anybody out there with a terminal diagnosis is reading this, don’t give up. Giving up is death. LIFE is a terminal illness but we squeeze every drop out of it that we can.
Does this article reveal the scam behind all this pink-ribbon bullshit, yet? Why would they cure more terminal diseases when the health-care INDUSTRY thinks people are living too long as it is?
Increasingly, physicians and hospitals are being pressured to ration health care for the elderly and the seriously ill. And private insurers and managed care companies following the lead of government agencies are participating in the “rational” allocation of resources. In New York, administrators at Calvary Hospital, which administers a hospice run by the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne for terminal cancer patients, received a notice from third party payers that insurance payments would be terminated if patients “live beyond expectations.”(1)
That’ll teach em to live so long next time. Punished for prolonging life.
Oh, in case you forgot, GET YOUR FLU SHOT!
The second article is amazing, because it insinuates that a public health worker who hasn’t been vaccinated for flu has now, this year, for the first time all of a sudden, become a public health hazard, and they are considering ways to isolate and punish her socially, unfortunately these pesky discrimination laws get in the way.
The last article, in particular, cracks me up.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Fewer than a third of U.S. adults have received a flu vaccine so far this year and only about half said they intended to get one, according to a survey released on Wednesday.
The Rand Corp. survey showed that 30 percent of the 4,000 adults had already been vaccinated, 17 percent planned to get one before the season ended and 53 percent said they would not get a flu shot this year.
“What we’re seeing here are huge opportunities for improvement,” said Rand economist Katherine Harris, who helped write the report.
First off, the Rand Corporation is fairly high on my list of think tanks with creepy agendas. Secondly, why are economists of all people interested in this report and commenting on these results? You would think it would be a doctor or public health expert.
Flu shots are an economic measure, not a measure to protect public health. If you have seen or read Fight Club, this formula should be familiar. Paying off X crippled children is cheaper than our worker bees missing Y days of work. This is mentioned in the film I posted recently, Vaccine Nation. I personally also believe it is callous profit taking of the public purse - through taxes and raised insurance rates - of a captive market for the vaccine manufacturers. There are possibly some exceptions, and each vaccine should be considered individually on its own merits, and based on one’s own personal risk factors.
It’s that time, WordPress users. WordPress 2.7 is out and it is a big upgrade. Take your time and backup all your files and your database before attempting this one, as it is a major upgrade. It went smoothly for me but there were a few potential gotchas. Be sure to read the instructions carefully, and after updating the files, run the following script:
The Noble Lie is now a WordPress 2.7 blog.
My musical tribute to the “new man” continues –
I want to reach out and touch the sky
I want to touch the sun but I don’t need to fly
I’m gonna climb up every mountain of the moon
And find the dish that ran away with the spoon
I’ve crossed the ocean, turned every bend
I found the crossing near a golden rainbows end
I’ve been through magic and through life’s reality
I’ve lived a thousand years and it never bothered me
Got no religion, don’t need no friends
Got all I want and I don’t need to pretend
Don’t try to reach me, cause I’d tear up your mind
I’ve seen the future and I’ve left it behind
