Purpose

The Noble Lie is my place to share research and observations, and thought-provoking video and audio I come across. I started this site to fight back against the propaganda machine(s) in my own small way, and hopefully provoke some thoughts and discussion.

The title of this site is a reference to Plato's Republic. The rulers of societies use fabricated myths and religions to keep their power structure in place. These myths are the Noble Lies.

History

The first run of The Noble Lie was a very short-lived Wordpress-hosted site I started in early 2008. in March or April. The second run of The Noble Lie was a personally-installed Wordpress site with a custom theme and a brand new domain name. It launched July 6, 2008 and ran until February 12, 2010. This third incarnation, a Drupal site, was launched May 12, 2010.
