New video support

Noble — Tue, 01/06/2009 - 05:45

I am happy to announce new video support features. First, you can share videos in the comments, just paste the URL into your comment and the site will automagically replace it with the video. Currently supports Google Video, Youtube, and LiveLeak.

The site should now also support LiveLeak video postings. The following is a test, but it's yet another issue to keep you up at night, especially now since the troops are back home patrolling on behalf of the biggest gang in town. I'm more worried about what these boys could do while still in uniform than I am about when they go home.

The URL has to be pristine, see what it did with the code which I copied right out of their box. Just thought I'd try to break stuff. Can you do that for mine too? No rush of course, as time permits and as you see fit. Thanks for all your help with my site. AND my computer.

Yup, fixed now. You need to

Noble Lie (not verified) — Wed, 01/07/2009 - 06:17
Yup, fixed now. You need to take the URL that is posted in that little box on the YouTube page.. It should get fixed later to ignore extra arguments. Thanks for the vid!! Boys in blue (actually, they mostly wear black anymore, the color of death), watch out... this crowd gets pretty rowdy. People aren't going to stand by and watch you murder folks forever.

Hey. I watched the latest vid

Wednesday (not verified) — Wed, 01/07/2009 - 08:20
Hey. I watched the latest vid again today. Closed my eyes and tried to hear instead of see. I heard a guy on the train say "look at my man's takin' pictures!" when I heard that I looked and you could see that Oscar had something up to his eye. The cops there saw it. That's when the cop from the left comes in, looks like he spotted the camera and went over to take care of it. Then you hear a guy say, "you HAVE to take pictures n shit..." (basically saying that they need to be recorded to keep them from being abusive). So that's why they all concentrated around Oscar Grant. Maybe he refused to give up his camera? ! Anyway the defense that "I saw something that looked like a gun" won't fly. Because we know from the video that Oscar had a camera, and the cops KNEW it was a camera, not a gun. So where's the camera that Oscar had? Cops took it, and will probably never release it to any investigating party. What are they doing now, investigating themselves? Pfft. Right.

Not wanting to induce

Paul (not verified) — Thu, 02/12/2009 - 20:10
Not wanting to induce paranoia, but the video in the comment section of the boys in black has been removed, "due to terms of use violations". ie, people were watching it.

Paul, You don't have to

Noble Lie (not verified) — Thu, 02/12/2009 - 23:06
Paul, You don't have to worry about inducing anything; I'm already there. I'm pretty sure I downloaded and saved this clip, so it will be back up soon. A lot has happened in this story and I intend to post on it again, someday. Thank you very much for the heads up.

The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. … We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. … In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons … who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.
